About WalkingPad

WalkingPad was created with a simple idea: fitness should fit into your life, not the other way around. Born from the need for convenient exercise in a world of busy schedules and limited living space, WalkingPad set out to rethink what a home treadmill could be.

The story began in a university robotics laboratory, where a group of postgraduate students were working on advanced technology while dealing with long hours, demanding research, and too little time for physical activity. They wanted a way to exercise that could be available whenever they needed it, without requiring a gym or taking up valuable space at home. This idea led to the development of the first WalkingPad prototype.

Founded under KingSmith, WalkingPad pioneered the concept of a compact, foldable walking treadmill designed to fit naturally into modern homes and workspaces. The original concept was intentionally light, thin, and foldable enough to be stored under a sofa or desk. As the idea developed, WalkingPad introduced patented folding and automatic speed-control technologies and helped establish the walking pad as a new category of home fitness equipment.

Today, WalkingPad has expanded its range beyond compact walking treadmills. Its lineup includes hybrid and vertical-fold treadmills, classic foldable models, rowers, weight benches, exercise bikes, and standing desks. Across the collection, the goal remains the same: combine thoughtful engineering, space-saving design, and everyday convenience so that movement can become a more natural part of daily life.

At the heart of WalkingPad is a mission to help more people love fitness. The brand believes that exercise should be approachable for everyone, whether someone is beginning a fitness journey or already has an established routine. By making fitness equipment easier to store, easier to use, and better suited to modern living, WalkingPad continues to create new ways for people to stay active at home and at work.

From its beginnings as a university-lab concept to an established global fitness brand, WalkingPad continues to move forward with the same purpose: making everyday movement simpler, more accessible, and easier to fit into the way people live.
