About PLU Laboratories

PLU Laboratories was built around a simple idea: people should know exactly what they are putting on their skin and hair. The brand is committed to creating minimalist copper peptide formulations with short ingredient lists, clearly named ingredients, disclosed concentrations, and independent laboratory verification.

The company grew from two different experiences that led to the same conclusion. One founder came from the food industry and saw growing demand for simpler, more transparent ingredient lists. Another experienced hair loss and became interested in copper peptides after conventional products irritated his scalp. When they searched for a reliable copper peptide product, they found raw powders but few finished products that provided clear information about what was actually inside. PLU Laboratories was created to fill that gap.

Transparency is at the center of the PLU approach. Each formula contains six ingredients or fewer, with every ingredient given a specific purpose. Rather than relying on proprietary blends or undisclosed concentrations, PLU publishes the amount of its active peptides and makes independent laboratory reports available to customers.

PLU's formulas are independently tested by the Mass Spectrometry Core at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The company states that its finished products are tested using LC-MS to verify active peptide concentrations and ICP-MS to screen for heavy metals, with the resulting reports made publicly available.

Today, PLU Laboratories focuses on a streamlined system of copper peptide tonics for skin and hair, including GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu formulations. The products are designed around active peptides and the essential ingredients needed to deliver and stabilize them, without unnecessary fragrance, dyes, essential oils, hormones, or botanical extracts.

Made in the USA using domestic and internationally sourced components, PLU Laboratories continues to pursue its goal of making personal care more straightforward and transparent. The brand believes customers should not have to rely solely on marketing claims—they should be able to see the ingredients, understand their purpose, know the stated concentrations, and review the laboratory results for themselves.
