About Catrice Cosmetics
Catrice Cosmetics is a beauty brand created with a bold idea: high-quality, trend-driven makeup should be accessible to everyone.
The story began in Germany in 2004, when Christina Oster-Daum set out to challenge traditional ideas about beauty and luxury. Her vision was to create makeup inspired by premium beauty while keeping it within reach of everyday beauty lovers. What began as a passionate project grew into an international beauty brand, and Catrice was introduced to the United States in 2015.
Quality Beauty at Accessible Prices
At Catrice, quality and value are at the heart of the brand. The company focuses on developing makeup with carefully selected ingredients, appealing textures, and innovative formulations while maintaining accessible price points.
The collection covers a broad range of beauty essentials, including complexion products, concealers, foundations, powders, blushes, bronzers, highlighters, eye makeup, mascaras, brow products, lip products, brushes, and beauty tools. Catrice also develops limited-edition and trend-focused collections that allow customers to experiment with different looks.
Beauty as Self-Expression
Catrice believes makeup should not be about changing who someone is. Instead, makeup can be a creative way to express individuality, highlight personal features, and experiment with different styles.
From everyday essentials to bold trend-led products, the brand creates cosmetics designed to give beauty lovers the freedom to define their own looks and express themselves with confidence.
Inspired by the Beauty Community
The Catrice community plays an important role in the brand's development. Customer feedback, creativity, and enthusiasm help inspire new ideas and influence the products and beauty experiences Catrice creates.
The brand sees beauty as an ongoing conversation between the company and the people who use its products. By listening to its community, Catrice continues to adapt its assortment to changing trends, preferences, and beauty routines.
A More Considered Approach to Beauty
Catrice also places emphasis on its approach to ingredients and product standards. The brand states that its products are vegan and cruelty-free and are developed in accordance with European cosmetic standards. Catrice also maintains additional ingredient restrictions beyond the requirements of EU cosmetics regulations.
The company describes this as an ongoing journey toward what it calls a cleaner standard, with product-specific ingredient and “free from” information provided to help customers make informed choices.
Own Your Magic
Catrice's philosophy is ultimately about confidence, individuality, and accessibility. The brand aims to give beauty lovers the products and creative freedom to explore makeup on their own terms.
Whether creating a natural everyday look or experimenting with the latest beauty trend, Catrice believes everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy high-quality makeup without an intimidating price tag.
