About Blacklight Blonde Science

Blacklight Blonde Science was born from decades of professional haircare research in Montréal, Canada. Our story began in 1986, when chemists Moty Cohen and Liliane started developing science-based haircare for professional salons and stylists. That foundation eventually became Oligo Professionnel, establishing a legacy of innovation and professional expertise that continues to shape our products today.

Blacklight Blonde Science brings that professional heritage directly to consumers, creating specialized haircare for blonde and lightened hair. Rather than treating blonde hair like ordinary hair, we focus on the specific challenges that come with lightening and chemical processing—including dryness, damage, breakage, dullness, and unwanted yellow or orange tones.

Our formulas are researched and developed in-house at our Montréal laboratory and manufacturing facility. We combine cosmetic science with carefully selected active ingredients and superfoods to create targeted collections for hydration, repair, and colour neutralization. From shampoos and conditioners to masks, treatments, oils, and toning products, each formula is designed around a specific need of blonde and chemically treated hair.

At Blacklight Blonde Science, we believe better blonde hair begins with better science. Our goal is to make professional-grade haircare more accessible while giving every blonde the tools to care for their hair with confidence, regardless of gender, colour, or hair texture. What began behind the salon chair is now formulated, tested, and bottled for blondes everywhere.
